Company snapshot
FengYi Technology (丰翼科技) is the drone-logistics subsidiary of SF Express Group (顺丰速运集团), China's largest integrated express and freight carrier. It operates the FengYi Bao'an Low-Altitude Smart Logistics Operation Center in Shenzhen's Bao'an District — the first 'air-ground integrated' (空地协同) logistics service hub in China, and a national demonstration site where conventional logistics meets drone delivery. Through its Munich-based subsidiary Phoenix-Wings GmbH, FengYi has taken its flagship PW.Orca cargo drone to market in Europe, with 15+ operational partners across Europe, Latin America and Asia. FengYi runs a three-tier low-altitude logistics network — central hubs, grid-based routing nodes and last-mile delivery points — anchored in Shenzhen and expanding across the Greater Bay Area into a 2-hour regional flight network.
Why low-altitude economy, and why drone logistics
Low-altitude economy (低空经济) is a national strategic sector, but cargo drones are where it already runs at industrial scale — not a future promise. FengYi's network moves freight by autonomous drone for urban management, medical logistics, fresh and cold-chain delivery, emergency response, security patrol and environmental monitoring. For a delegation, the appeal is tangible: you watch a real air-ground system carry packages, not a concept video. Shenzhen's regulatory openness and SF Express's logistics backbone make this one of the most mature low-altitude-economy showcases in the country — a natural counterpart to Guangzhou's agricultural-drone story (see the XAG farm visit).
What a delegation experiences
A Shenzhen FengYi visit via China Innovation Visits centers on the Bao'an Operation Center. Delegates see static displays of the Ark 80, Fengzhou 90, Ark 150 and Ark 20 drones, then watch routine PW.Orca cargo flights. The highlight is a live demonstration of the Ark 40 drone autonomously docking with smart lockers (丰巢柜) — drones meeting unmanned ground vehicles for seamless air-ground handoff. An exhibition hall lays out FengYi's technology roadmap, milestones and the intelligent operations platform that runs the low-altitude network, showing how a single hub orchestrates flights across a city.
Sample itinerary (half-day)
Based on FengYi's standard visitor program (English-language): 14:30 — Meet & Greet. 14:45 — Showroom tour of the Bao'an Low-Altitude Smart Logistics Operation Center. 15:20 — Group photo. 15:30 — Welcome speech. 15:35 — Drone application case studies & low-altitude networks of intelligence. 16:05 — Interactive idea exchange & networking. Address: Dabao Road, Bao'an District, Shenzhen. (Note: this is a hosted-visit format; China Innovation Visits arranges private delegation programs at the hub on request.)
Why see it in person
A slide deck can list FengYi's drone models. It cannot convey the rhythm of a cargo drone cycling through a city's airspace, the choreography of an Ark 40 meeting a smart locker, or the candid exchange with operators about what still needs a human in the loop. Those signals only appear on site — which is exactly why delegations choose to visit rather than read, and why Shenzhen's drone-logistics stop is becoming a fixture on China Innovation Visits low-altitude-economy programs.
You don't understand China's low-altitude economy by reading a policy paper. You understand it by watching a cargo drone land at a smart locker.
